As a relatively new sport that has just been approved by
the ANKC Pine Rivers Dog obedience Club is fortunate to have several
handlers experienced within the sport.
Encompassing two divisions, Heelwork To Music and Freestyle, dog and handler must perform a choreographed set of set of moves, performed to music. Dancing with Dogs routines have a high spectator appeal as teams perform not only traditional obedience moves but also innovative and creative moves, designed to appeal to the audience. The rapport between handler and dog must be excellent as they strive for a flawless routine.
Although we do not run official Dancing With Dogs classes our experienced instructors are often available to give advice in the area. Pine Rivers Dog Obedience Club is also holding a Dancing with Dogs competition on the 13th March at Mt. Gravatt Showgrounds.
