The next best thing for a dog would be that they have a human to bring them to training classes.

At Pine Rivers, we teach and recommend positive training techniques which produce happy and obedient dogs that become a source of pleasure and pride to their families.

We encourage the use of food treats or toys to help get your dog motivated and paying attention to you. Eventually the food/toy rewards are faded but they are very useful in the beginning and to invigorate the dog's training as he progresses to the more challenging levels. Pine Rivers Dog Obedience Club Inc. would like to acknowledge the ongoing support it receives from Moreton Bay Regional Council. MBRC have generously supported the club through a grant to further improve the lighting on the ground and have upgraded the main car park.

CANINE HELPERS

for the Disabled Inc Canine Helpers is a community support organisation that provides assistance to people with a disability through the training and placement of different types of assistance dogs. Pine Rivers Dog Obedience Club sponsors the Canine Helpers for the Disabled. Many members of this organisation are also members of Pine Rivers Dog Obedience Club and training and assessments are conducted on the grounds on Tuesday nights.
