Mission Statement

To promote responsible dog ownership within the Pine Rivers Shire, and to encourage participation and good sportsmanship in all aspects of dog activities.

Vision Statement

The clubs vision is that all dogs within the Pine Rivers Shire are effectively trained and promoted as valued companions in our community.

Aims and Goals

The club aims to:

  • Educate the community on Responsible Dog Ownership
  • Reduce the number of complaints to the Pine Rivers Shire Council regarding problem dogs
  • Reduce the dumpage rate of problem dogs
  • Assist the community in the Problem Management of their dogs

By way of:

  • Providing regular training sessions where handlers can socialise and learn to handle their dogs using reward based training.
  • Raising the standards of the instructors by continual education
  • Providing public demonstrations on dog handling
  • Holding seminars and educational days which help the handler understand their dogs needs better.

Contribution towards the community

The club regularly sponsors guide dogs at Guide Dogs for the Blind Association of QLD.
